Research Progress on All-Polarization-Maintaining Mode-Locked Fiber Lasers
This article reviews the research progress of all-polarization-maintaining mode-locked fiber lasers. Owing to their excellent resistance to environmental interference and high stability, all-polarization-maintaining mode-locked fiber lasers hold ...

Metafiber transforming arbitrarily structured light
Structured light has proven useful for numerous photonic applications. However, the current use of structured light in optical fiber science and technology is severely limited by mode mixing or by the lack of optical elements that can be integrated onto ...

To enhance through‐thickness conductivity without sacrificing impregnation, large spherical graphite particles are intentionally employed in a low‐viscosity resin. Unlike finer conductive fillers, these particles remain outside the fiber bundles and accumulate in resin‐rich interlaminar regions during molding.

Modeling a Fully Polarized Optical Fiber Suitable for Photonic Integrated Circuits or Sensors
A method is developed to make an optical fiber that only transmits fully linearly polarized light and maintains the polarization state. The method for efficient ingesting laser into this fiber is also reported.

Optoelectronic synaptic devices based on solution‐processed molecular telluride GST‐225 phase‐change inks are demonstrated for three‐factor learning. A global optical signal broadcast through a silicon waveguide induces non‐volatile conductance updates exclusively in locally electrically flagged memristors.

Development of an optical fiber end cap for high-power fiber lasers
In this study, a large-diameter optical fiber end cap was designed and fabricated, which is a critical component of kW-class high-power fiber lasers. To overcome the limitations of conventional electric arc fusion splicing, which restricts the maximum ...

Polarization-Maintaining Single-Frequency Fiber Laser With Quadruple Wavelengths at the C-Band
In this paper, a polarization-maintaining quad-wavelength (QW) single-frequency fiber laser (SFFL) at the C-band with the novel and compact structure is demonstrated. Applying the rate equations and multiple coupled nonlinear Schrödinger equations,
