Optical alignment and polarization conversion of neutral exciton spin in individual InAs/GaAs quantum dots

open access: yes, 2008
We investigate exciton spin memory in individual InAs/GaAs self-assembled quantum dots via optical alignment and conversion of exciton polarization in a magnetic field.

Versatile Cross‐Polarization Conversion Chiral Metasurface for Linear and Circular Polarizations

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, 2020
AbstractIn this work, first the necessary conditions for a versatile cross‐polarization conversion meta‐atom that operates both for linear and circular cross polarizations are discussed. Based on these, a versatile chiral metasurface cross‐polarization converter is proposed.

Cascaded Stokes polarization conversion in cubic Raman crystals

open access: yesOptics Express, 2020
We describe a theoretical approach based on Müller and tensor calculus for predicting the polarization state and gain of cascaded Stokes orders produced under coherent Raman scattering regime conditions. The formulation follows a Markovian-style implementation for F2g-type modes in Raman cubic crystals.

Conversion from linear to circular polarization in FPGA

open access: yes, 2010
Context: Radio astronomical receivers are now expanding their frequency range to cover large (octave) fractional bandwidths for sensitivity and spectral flexibility, which makes the design of good analogue circular polarizers challenging.

Modularized Reconfigurable Functional Electromagnetic Surfaces Using Tightly Coupled Antennas and Back-Loaded Radio Frequency Circuits

open access: yesMicromachines
This paper presents a modularized reconfigurable functional electromagnetic surface (MRFES) for broadband absorption and polarization conversion by using tightly coupled dipole antennas (TCDA) and back-loaded radio frequency (RF) circuits (BLRFC). A dual-

Quantum teleportation in the spin-orbit variables of photon pairs

open access: yes, 2011
We propose a polarization to orbital angular momentum teleportation scheme using entangled photon pairs generated by spontaneous parametric down conversion.

An efficient broadband metasurface design for smart health care and future communication applications

open access: yesResults in Optics
We propose a broadband metasurface consisting of a novel compact resonator to achieve linear polarization conversion in reflection mode. This compact resonator is designed on Roger 5880 substrate, measuring 1.575 mm in thickness, and possessing a loss ...

Quantum correlations of twophoton polarization states in the parametric down-conversion process

open access: yes, 2008
We consider correlation properties of twophoton polarization states in the parametric down-conversion process. In our description of polarization states we take into account the simultaneous presence of colored and white noise in the density matrix ...

Multilayer Full Polarization Conversion Transpolarizing Structures

open access: yesInternational Journal of Antennas and Propagation, 2019
In this paper, we propose the design of two perfect multilayered linear transpolarization structures working in transmission. These linear polarization converters are capable to rotate the polarization 90° independently from the direction of the input ...

Observation of elliptical rings in Type-I spontaneous parametric down-conversion

open access: yes, 2015
We investigate the transverse spatial profile of down-converted light produced by noncollinear, degenerate, Type-I spontaneous parametric down-conversion in two types of nonlinear crystals.
