Fe‐cationic and P‐anionic coordination, as fabricated in Co0.75Fe0.25P/MWCNTs, effectively optimizes the adsorption of OER intermediates (OH*, O*), promoting direct O*─O* coupling and avoiding the formation of unstable OOH* intermediate. This process is accompanied by an asynchronous transfer of electrons and protons, resulting in the formation of a ...

Comparative Assessment of Nonlocal Continuum Solvent Models Exhibiting Overscreening
Nonlocal continua have been proposed to offer a more realistic model for the electrostatic response of solutions such as the electrolyte solvents prominent in biology and electrochemistry. In this work, we review three nonlocal models based on the Landau-

Electrode Polarization in Glassy Electrolytes: Large Interfacial Capacitance Values and Indication for Pseudocapacitive Charge Storage [PDF]
We study the electrode polarization behaviour of different Na-Ca-phosphosilicate glasses by measuring the differential capacitance between blocking Pt electrodes. At low applied dc bias voltages, we detect a linear capacitance regime with interfacial capacitance values considerably larger than expected from double layer theories and also considerably ...

The electroplating of a CrCoNi medium‐entropy alloy is achieved using a mixture of an ionic liquid and an aqueous solution containing metal salts. The CrCoNi medium‐entropy alloy thin film exhibits high wear and corrosion resistance superior to conventional hard chromium coatings. Abstract High‐entropy alloys (HEAs) and medium‐entropy alloys (MEAs) are

Electrochemical tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy imaging with 8 nm lateral resolution
Herein, we report tip-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (TERS) hyperspectral imaging under electrochemical control of a non-Raman-resonant molecular compound. A new setup combining a Scanning Tunneling Microscope (STM) and an optical coupling with high signal ...

Anisometric Charge Dependent Swelling of Porous Carbon in an Ionic Liquid [PDF]
In situ electrochemical dilatometry was used to study, for the first time, the expansion behavior of a porous carbon electrode in a pure ionic liquid, 1-ethyl-3-methyl-imidazolium-tetrafluoroborate. For a single electrode, an applied potential of -2 V and +2 V against the potential of zero charge resulted in maximum strain of 1.8 % and 0.5 ...

Surface Plasmon Electrochemistry [PDF]
Surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) are optical waves that propagate along a metal surface. They exhibit properties such as sub-wavelength localization and field enhancement which make them attractive for surface sensing, as commonly encountered in surface plasmon biosensors - the most widespread of all optical biosensors. Electrochemistry also occurs on

This work establishes a general theory of the current transient of ionic‐electronic transistors under a step of gate voltage. The dominant effect is a transient charging of the channel by diffusion of ions. The additional influence of electrolyte capacitance and resistance splits the fundamental time constant of diffusion into two different components.
