Polarization-insensitive tunable terahertz polarization rotator
A rotation-angle variable polarization rotator is proposed and demonstrated using an all-dielectric metasurface doublet. Such a transmissive device can conveniently rotate the polarization of incident light by any desired angles by mechanically changing the relative angle of the double metasurface layers regardless of the incident state of polarization.

Proposal for a simple polarization converter based on integrated optical ion exchanged waveguide [PDF]
A simple, compact, low-cost electro-optic polarization converter based on a nematic liquid crystal (LC) sandwiched between two ion-exchanged glass channel waveguides is proposed.

Polarization insensitive imaging through polarization gratings
Liquid crystal polarization gratings exhibit high diffraction efficiency (approximately 100%) in thin material layers comparable to the radiation wavelength. We demonstrate that they can be combined for polarization-insensitive imaging and optical switching applications.

Multiband Polarization-Insensitive Cartwheel Metamaterial Absorber
Abstract Metamaterials are specifically engineered to produce electromagnetic properties that are not available in natural materials. Multiband metamaterial (MM) absorbers achieve great research interest due to their applications in sensing, filtering, and stealth.

Polarization properties of interferometrically interrogated fiber Bragg grating and tandem-interferometer strain sensors [PDF]
Lead sensitivity in low-coherence interferometric fiber-optic sensors is a well-known problem. It can lead to a severe degradation in the sensor resolution and accuracy through its effect on the fringe visibility and interferometric phase.

A broadband achromatic polarization-insensitive metalens consisting of anisotropic nanostructures
Polarization-insensitive metasurfaces implies limiting the choice of constituent elements to isotropic nanostructures. Here, the authors demonstrate a polarization-insensitive metalens using anisotropic nanofins, allowing achromatic and polarization ...
