Die Arktis bei 2,7 Grad globaler Erwärmung: Schwindende Landschaften

open access: yesPhysik in unserer Zeit, Volume 57, Issue 2, Page 58-65, March 2026.

Secrets within stems: The cryptic Apodanthes caseariae (Apodanthaceae), a rare neotropical holoendoparasite

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 2, Page 385-400, March 2026.
Holoendoparasites are extremely rare plants that live entirely hidden inside their hosts, with only flowers and fruits visible. We studied Apodanthes caseariae, found in central and South America, parasitizing Casearia sylvestris. Little is known about its life cycle.

The effects of flower supplementation on pollinators and pollination along an urbanisation gradient

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 2, Page 654-668, March 2026.
Enhancing urban greenspaces for pollinator communities by planting flower patches is increasingly common, but their efficacy for different groups of insects (bees, hoverflies and moths) is unclear. Our city‐scale experiment demonstrated that the effect of flower patches on pollinators is complex, and direct benefits to specific insects are difficult to

Towards an evidence‐based and research‐driven restoration strategy for Britain's temperate rainforests

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, Volume 8, Issue 2, Page 411-421, March 2026.
Woodlands globally are threatened by environmental change and biodiversity loss. Temperate rainforests are an ecologically rich ecosystem found in wet regions of the temperate zone, and Britain has the potential for major temperate rainforest coverage in its nature‐depleted landscape.

USING STUDY PAGES IN A BILINGUAL DICTIONARY IN GERMAN LANGUAGE CLASSES

open access: yesMetodički Vidici, 2013
The starting point is the assumption that bilingual dictionaries are not used very often during German language classes. The influence of electronic media results in the fact that paper dictionaries are not in use and students do not know how to make use

Aquatic Biodiversity of the Pampa Biome: Insights From a Scientometric and Systematic Perspective

open access: yesAustral Ecology, Volume 51, Issue 3, March 2026.
ABSTRACT The Pampa biome, in South America, covers parts of Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina. Its main characteristic is the predominance of grassland areas. The Pampa biome supports high biological diversity and a wide variety of ecosystems. In this study, we provide a comprehensive overview of biodiversity studies focusing on freshwater ecosystems of ...

The Effect of Some Forage Additives Used in Feeding of Weaned Pigs

open access: yesScientific Papers Animal Science and Biotechnologies, 2023
The experiment was carried out over a group of 50 weaned piglets, allotted into two equal groups The control group (C) received a basal diet supplemented with a 2% premix – vitamins and microelements as oxides and salts mixed with maize flour-based diet;

The power of ionic movements in plants

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 249, Issue 5, Page 2232-2240, March 2026.
Summary The movement of ion‐driven electrogenic events known as plant action potentials in the Venus flytrap Dionaea muscipula has first been recognized in Darwin's time. Besides electrophysiological techniques making use of current‐ and voltage‐recording electrodes, today an ever‐growing spectrum of tools has become available, that report online ...
