Eutectic Engineering of Ionic‐Liquid Electrolytes for Enhanced Organic Battery Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, Volume 7, Issue 10, October 2026.
NMA‐induced eutectic interactions modify the molecular environment of [EMIm][TFSI], substantially reducing viscosity and lowering the apparent transport barrier. The eutectic composition ([EMIm][TFSI]:NMA = 1:0.5) increases ionic conductivity while retaining sufficient electrochemical stability.

“It's Not Deterministic and It Will Never Be Deterministic”: A Qualitative Study on Stakeholder Perspectives of Polygenic Risk Score Testing for Post‐Traumatic Stress Disorder

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part B: Neuropsychiatric Genetics, Volume 201, Issue 7, Page 441-450, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Post‐traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) causes significant mental and physical distress, yet only a small subset of individuals exposed to trauma develop the disorder. Scientists and clinicians are still unable to predict who will get the disorder or how it will manifest.

Skeletal pathologies in extant crocodilians as a window into the paleopathology of fossil archosaurs

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, Volume 309, Issue 10, Page 2698-2724, October 2026.
Abstract Crocodilians, together with birds, are the only extant relatives to many extinct archosaur groups, making them highly important for interpreting paleopathological conditions in a phylogenetic disease bracketing model. Despite this, comprehensive data on osteopathologies in crocodilians remain scarce.

Effects of Cannabidiol‐Rich Cannabis Oil on Facial Expression Recognition and Theory of Mind in Children With Autism Spectrum Disorder: A Randomized Clinical Trial

open access: yesAutism Research, Volume 19, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT To evaluate, in a post hoc subanalysis, the effects of cannabidiol (CBD)‐rich cannabis oil on facial expression recognition and theory of mind in children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This post hoc subanalysis included children from a double‐blind, randomized, placebo‐controlled trial who completed social cognition assessments at ...

Desert Milkweed (Asclepias erosa) as a Midsummer Resource for Arthropod Communities in the Great Basin Desert

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 16, Issue 10, October 2026.
BLURB FOR ETOC: In the Great Basin Desert, many plants senesce as heat and drought intensify in midsummer, potentially concentrating arthropods on the few species that remain physiologically active. We surveyed arthropods on desert milkweed (Asclepias erosa) during this period and recorded 1779 individuals representing 67 morphospecies across 41 plants;
