[Polish army hospital in Zeithain].
Polski merkuriusz lekarski : organ Polskiego Towarzystwa Lekarskiego, 1998Polish Military Hospital in Zeithain was a prisoner-of-war hospital of Warsaw Insurgents. In the period from 13 October 1944 until 23 April 1945, in the hospital there were 1572 war prisoners, including 1029 sick and wounded. The hospital consisted of all wards, the operating theatre, X-rays unit and the laboratory.

1985At the beginning of 1942 Polish-Soviet relations were at their most paradoxical. The two countries had signed a treaty supported by a military agreement and should have embarked on a period of mutual co-operation and goodwill. However the relatively honest fulfilment by Russia of her obligations was inversely proportional to the situation at the front.
