This article develops a conceptual framework and measurement model of political market orientation (PMO). The relationships between different behavioural aspects of PMO and the attitudinal influences of such behaviour are analysed, and the study includes structural equation modelling to test several hypotheses.

The Korean Review of Political Thought, 2021근대의 무대에서 헌정주의는 ‘제한정부’, ‘사법심사’, ‘법의 지배’의 원리들을 바탕으로 국가 운영의 훌륭한 기예로 작용하고 있다. 그러나 근대 헌정주의는 헌법을 통치체의 제도적인 일부로 보면서, ‘왜 정치공동체에서 헌법이 복종되어야 하는가?’의 질문은 적극적으로 다루고 있지 않다. 공법 전통에 선일군의 학자들은 이를 다룬다. 이들은 헌법을 통치자의 도구가 아니라, 시민들이 헌법을 통해 자신들의 법적 정치적 지위를 확인하고 또한 재전유할 수 있는 규범적인 힘을 제공받을 수 있는 장소라고 주장한다.
