Modelling Air Pollution Crises Using Multi-agent Simulation [PDF]
This paper describes an agent based approach for simulating the control of an air pollution crisis. A Gaussian Plum air pollution dispersion model (GPD) is combined with an Artificial Neural Network (ANN) to predict the concentration levels of three different air pollutants.

The developed all‐organic solar cells achieve a power conversion efficiency of 8.7%, more than double the previous record. In addition, bioplastic substrates are used to produce environmentally friendly solar cells with an efficiency of 8.6%. These results are achieved by developing high‐performance organic electrodes without acid doping or high ...

A wide binary trigger for white dwarf pollution [PDF]
Metal pollution in white dwarf atmospheres is likely to be a signature of remnant planetary systems. Most explanations for this pollution predict a sharp decrease in the number of polluted systems with white dwarf cooling age. Observations do not confirm this trend, and metal pollution in old (1-5 Gyr) white dwarfs is difficult to explain.

Superlubricious Surfaces Through Surface Attached Hydrogels Obtained by C,H‐insertion Crosslinking
Taking synovial joints as a source of inspiration, the friction properties of surfaces covered with 1d‐swelling polyelectrolyte hydrogels in combination with a shear‐thinning aqueous lubricant are studied. Such systems obtained by C,H insertion crosslinking show superlubricious behavior, even surpassing the friction values reported for the natural ...

Active Thermal Field Integration for Marangoni‐Driven Salt Rejection and Water Collection
A thermal gradient fabric (TGF) evaporator with an auxiliary active thermal field can simultaneously increase evaporation rates and achieve long‐term salt rejection. The auxiliary active thermal field is well integrated with solar energy to construct moderate, extensive, and circulating Marangoni flow for salt rejection.
