Natural Variation of NAR5 Determines Nitrogenase Activity and the Yield in Soybean
This study identified NAR5, a gene encoding a subtilisin‐like protease, that regulates nitrogenase activity in soybean nodules. Overexpressing NAR5 delayed nodule senescence, enhancing nitrogenase activity, yield, and low‐nitrogen tolerance. The elite haplotype NAR5HapI‐1 linked to superior nitrogenase activity and greater seed weight has been ...

Toxicogenomics of Arsenic, Lead and Mercury: The Toxic Triad
The metalloid arsenic (As) and the metals lead (Pb) and mercury (Hg), which together we call the “Toxic Triad”, are among the pollutants of greatest global concern, harming the health of millions of people and contributing to biodiversity loss.

Bioavailability and ecological risk assessment of metal pollutants in ambient PM2.5 in Beijing
Metal pollutants in fine particulate matter (PM2.5) are physiologically toxic, threatening ecosystems through atmospheric deposition. Biotoxicity and bioavailability are mainly determined by the active speciation of metal pollutants in PM2.5.

Photocatalytic treatment of glyphosate herbicide in agricultural wastewater is achieved through the cooperative effect of the local polarization field and dipole field mediated by lattice‐distorted carbon nitride. Glyphosate is completely degraded via selective C─P bond cleavage with a CO evolution rate of 1166 µmol g−1 h−1.

Isosteric Substitution Enables Rational Design of Two‐Dimensional Energetic Crystals
Isosteric substitution transforms a classical nitro–amine motif into two‐dimensional aminofurazans with performance beyond TATB. ABSTRACT Two‐dimensional (2D) energetic crystals dissipate mechanical insult via interlayer slip, yet their molecular design space remains narrow.
