PROBABILISTIC COST EFFECTIVENESS IN AGRICULTURAL NONPOINT POLLUTION CONTROL [PDF]
Conceptual weaknesses in the use of costs of average abatement as a measure of the cost effectiveness of agricultural nonpoint pollution control are examined. A probabilistic alternative is developed.

Protecting the environment and the poor - a public goods framework applied to Indonesia [PDF]
As is evident from public finance principles, redistribution objectives do not influence environmental policies if there are other, costless means of redistribution. How does optimal environmental protection depend on redistribution objectives?

Mesoporous Carbon Thin Films with Large Mesopores as Model Material for Electrochemical Applications
Mesoporous carbon thin films possessing 70 nm mesopores are prepared on titanium substrates by soft templating of resol resins with a self‐synthesized poly(ethylene oxide)‐block‐poly(hexyl acrylate) block copolymer. A strategy to avoid corrosion of the metal substrate is presented, and the films are extensively characterized in terms of morphology ...

Environmental Games and Queue Models [PDF]
This paper considers a pollution and control game which uses a queuing framework. This framework allows an accounting of pollution events, environmental pollution quality and the application of controls to maintain a desirable quality of the environment.

Bio‐based bionic spider silk and spider web are first prepared using polyelectrolyte complexation technique for the simultaneous harvesting of water and triboelectric energy. The advantage of this process lies on entirely bio‐based materials, fully green water‐processable procedures, extremely high production rate (99.36%), excellent fog harvesting ...

High‐energy electron impact in plasma catalysis often causes excessive dissociation of active intermediates, limiting C2+ product selectivity. To address this challenge, a bio‐inspired stoma‐shell nanoarchitecture is designed to decouple electron impact from catalytic reaction zones.

A strategic spin‐polarization suppression in Fe single‐atom catalysts is proposed to enhance electrocatalytic reduction of NO to NH3. Employing a top‐down electrospinning strategy, self‐supported FeSAC with Fe‐N3S1 coordination structure and spin‐state transition is engineered from high‐spin to low‐spin.
