Bioinspired Microreactor for Iodide Adsorption and Photooxidation Recovery
A bioinspired micro‐ionic‐reactor based on porous organic polymer (MIR‐POP) integrates rapid iodide capture with in situ photooxidative conversion, achieving record uptake capacity and high uptake efficiencies in simulated mining wastewater and natural brine. This bioinspired microreactor strategy offers a new avenue for sustainable iodine recovery and

Racing to the bottom : foreign investment and air pollution in developing countries [PDF]
Critics of free trade have raised the specter of a"race to the bottom,"in which environmental standards collapse because polluters threaten to relocate to"pollution havens"in the developing world.

Bioenergy Cropping Reduces the Spatiotemporal Scaling of Soil Bacterial Biodiversity
Consistent with patterns observed in plant and animal communities, soil bacterial communities exhibit significant species–time–area and phylogenetic–time–area relationships independent of nested structure. Bioenergy cropping significantly reduces the spatiotemporal scaling rates, particularly in sandy loam soils.
