Nutrient discharges to Biscayne Bay, Florida: Trends, loads, and a pollutant index
Changes in land use, management practices, and environmental conditions may all lead to detectable differences in nutrients transported to aquatic systems. Biscayne Bay, an oligotrophic estuary in southeastern Florida, requires minimal phosphorus and nitrogen inputs and here we quantified the effects of continued watershed development.

Assessment of metal pollution using enrichment factor (EF) and pollution load index (PLI) in sediments of selected Terengganu rivers, Malaysia [PDF]
Anthropogenic activities that happen in Terengganu River were contributed to sediment pollution at that area. The sediment pollution occurred when sediment are additional influenced with chemical adsorption between the metals, grain size, and organic matter.

Assessment of Organic Pollutant Index and Biodegradability Index in Determining River Pollution Load
Abstract The Kupang River, a major watershed in Batang and Pekalongan, spans 53 kilometres and has been experiencing significant water quality degradation. Notably, the river’s colour changes to black and emits foul odours, especially during the dry season.
