Silhouette width using generalized mean—A flexible method for assessing clustering efficiency
Silhouette width is widely used for assessing clustering efficiency in various scientific fields including molecular biology, ecology, and taxonomy. We present a generalization of this index which allows for adjusting its sensitivity to cluster compactness and connectedness.

Three new entries to 3‐acylchromones utilizing transition metal catalyzed decarboxylative cross‐coupling reactions of α‐keto acids with ortho‐hydroxyenaminones, 2,3‐unsubstituted chromones and 3‐iodochromones are reported. The title methodologies permit a concise synthesis of series of drug‐like chromone derivatives and are suitable for the ...

The Self-consistent Matter Coupling of a Class of Minimally Modified Gravity Theories
The self-consistent matter coupling is found in a broad class of minimally modified gravity theories which was discovered recently. All constraints in the theories remain first class and thus a graviton has only 2 local degrees of freedom.

Anisotropy of Observed and Simulated Turbulence in Marine Stratocumulus
Abstract Anisotropy of turbulence near the top of the stratocumulus‐topped boundary layer (STBL) is studied using large‐eddy simulation (LES) and measurements from the POST and DYCOMS‐II field campaigns. Focusing on turbulence m below the cloud top, we see remarkable similarity between daytime and nocturnal flight data covering different inversion ...
