Photochemical evolution of poly(ether ether ketone)
Polymer Degradation and Stability, 2000Abstract The photochemical evolution of poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) has been investigated under polychromatic irradiation ( λ >300 nm) in the absence and in the presence of oxygen. The modifications of the structure of the films resulting from irradiation was monitored by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and UV-visible spectroscopy.

Photoluminescent poly(ether ether ketone)–quantum dot composite films
Chemical Communications, 2013A fluoropoly(ether ether ketone) (FPEEK) demonstrating blue fluorescence was developed as a flexible, transparent membranous matrix for the incorporation of quantum dots (QDs) to fabricate a composite photoluminescent film which is promising as a self-referenced temperature sensor.

Biofilm behavior on sulfonated poly(ether-ether-ketone) (sPEEK)
Materials Science and Engineering: C, 2017Poly(ether-ether-ketone) (PEEK) has also shown to be very attractive for incorporating therapeutic compounds thanks to a sulfonation process which modifies the material structure resulting in a sulfonated-PEEK (sPEEK). Concerning biomedical applications, the objective of this work was to evaluate the influence of different sulfonation degree of sPEEK ...

Abstract Linear poly(ether ether ketone) (LPEEK) with high melt viscosity was blended with hyperbranched poly(ether ether ketone) (HPEEK) to enhance its melt processability without sacrificing its comprehensive performance. The advantage of using HPEEK is due to its unique spherical shape, low melt viscosity and ready availability ...

AbstractNew poly(ether ether ketone)s and poly (ether ether ketone ketone)s were synthesized by polycondensation of each of the three bisphenols, viz., 4,4′‐(octahydro‐2(1H)‐naphthylidene)bisphenol, 4,4′‐(octahydro‐2(1H)‐naphthylidene)bis‐3‐methylphenol, and 4,4′‐(octahydro‐2(1H)‐naphthylidene)bis‐3,5‐dimethylphenol with 4,4′‐difluorobenzophenone and 1,

An improvement in the processability of poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) and PEEK/carbon fiber (PEEK/CF) composites with less influence on the other properties is important. A novel high temperature lubricant, GENIOPLAST PELLETS (GPPS), was used to decrease the melt viscosity of PEEK and PEEK/CF composites.

The effect on compatibility of the addition of poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK) oligomer to poly(ether ether ketone ketone) (PEEKK)/polv(p-phenylene sulphide) (PPS) blends has been investigated. Viscoelastic measurements and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) of PEEKK/PPS blends show that the blends are completely immiscible over the whole ...

Biaxial deformation behaviour of poly-ether-ether-ketone
AIP Conference Proceedings, 2018The biaxial tensile properties of thin poly-ether-ether-ketone (PEEK) films are presented. Investigation into the biaxial mechanical behaviour of PEEK films will provide a preliminary insight into the anticipated stress/strain response, and potential suitability, to the possible fabrication of thin walled parts through stretch blow moulding and ...
