Microbial production of 4-hydroxybutyrate, poly-4-hydroxybutyrate, and poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate) by recombinant microorganisms

Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology, 2009
4-Hydroxybutyrate (4HB) was produced by Aeromonas hydrophila 4AK4, Escherichia coli S17-1, or Pseudomonas putida KT2442 harboring 1,3-propanediol dehydrogenase gene dhaT and aldehyde dehydrogenase gene aldD from P. putida KT2442 which are capable of transforming 1,4-butanediol (1,4-BD) to 4HB.

Crystallization Kinetics and Multiple Melting Behavior of Biodegradable Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate)

International Polymer Processing, 2018
Abstract The crystallization and melting behavior of biodegradable poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate) [P(3HB-co-4HB)] with 11 % 4HB content was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), small and wide angle X-ray scattering (SAXS and WAXS).

Poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-4-hydroxybutyrate) based nanocomposites: influence of the microstructure on the barrier properties

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2015
P3HB4HB–C30B nanocomposites contain free, intercalated and aggregated nanoplatelets. Facilitated transport of CO2 due to the presence of ammonium groups on C30B. Concomitant and antagonist effects of nanoclays on water diffusion.
