Self‐Assembly Ordered Layered Gels for Thermochromic Smart Windows With Excellent Electromagnetic Shielding Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Metal‐ion‐coupled self‐assembled layered gels were prepared using a simple sol–gel method, successfully integrating electromagnetic shielding and thermochromic functions into the material. SCa‐1, which exhibits the best overall performance, achieves an electromagnetic shielding efficiency of up to 72.49 dB, while maintaining a visible light ...

Synthesis and Application of Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-methacrylic Acid) Hydrogels as Sorbent Materials for Wastewater Treatment

open access: yesSeparations
N-isopropylacrylamide and methacrylic acid were copolymerized by a free radical polymerized mechanism. The obtained hydrogel poly(N-isopropylacrylamide-co-methacrylic acid) hydrogels, poly(NIPAM-co-MAA), were utilized as sorbent material for removal Cr ...

Self‐Driving Laboratory Optimizes the Lower Critical Solution Temperature of Thermoresponsive Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
A low‐cost, self‐driving laboratory is developed to democratize autonomous materials discovery. Using this "frugal twin" hardware architecture with Bayesian optimization, the platform rapidly converges to target lower critical solution temperature (LCST) values while self‐correcting from off‐target experiments, demonstrating an accessible route to data‐

Influence of cyclodextrin on the solubility of a classically prepared 2-vinylcyclopropane macromonomer in aqueous solution

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2012
A macromonomer 5 consisting of a polymerizable vinylcyclopropane end group and a poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (poly(NiPAAm)) chain was obtained from amidation of 1-ethoxycarbonyl-2-vinylcyclopropane-1-carboxylic acid (4) with an amino-terminated poly ...
