ABS composites with cellulose fibers: Towards fiber-matrix adhesion without surface modification

open access: yesComposites Part C: Open Access, 2021
Aiming for a cost-effective and environmentally friendly material, we propose the replacement of glass fiber/poly(acrylonitrile-co-butadiene-co-styrene) (ABS) composites by composites with cellulosic reinforcing agents.

Wettability of Amino Acid-Functionalized PSMA Electrospun Fibers for the Modulated Release of Active Agents and Its Effect on Their Bioactivity

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2023
The ideal treatment for chronic wounds is based on the use of bioactive dressings capable of releasing active agents. However, the control of the rate at which these active agents are released is still a challenge.

Degradation of Proteins and Starch by Combined Immobilization of Protease, α-Amylase and β-Galactosidase on a Single Electrospun Nanofibrous Membrane

open access: yesMolecules, 2019
Two commercially available enzymes, Dextrozyme (α-amylase) and Esperase (protease), were covalently immobilized on non-woven electrospun poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride) nanofiber mats with partial retention of their catalytic activity ...

Compatibility, Morphology, Mechanical Properties and Biodegradability of Poly(styrene-ethylene-propylenestyrene)/ Modified Thermoplastic Starch Blends [PDF]

open access: yesعلوم و تکنولوژی پلیمر, 2016
The effect of modified starch on the properties of poly(styrene-ethylenepropylene- styrene) tri-block copolymer was studied. Chemical treatment of starch with maleic anhydride was accomplished in an internal mixer in the presence of glycerol.

Pengaruh Konsentrasi Inisiator Dan Komposisi Styrene Dan Maleic Anhydride Terhadap Berat Molekul Pada Sintesis Kopolimer Poly (Styrene-Maleic Anhydride) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014

HET acid based oligoesters – TGA/FTIR studies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
One of the important reactive halogenated dicarboxylic acids used in the synthesis of flame retardant unsaturated polyester resins is 1,4,5,6,7,7-hexachlorobicyclo [2.2.1] hept-5-ene-2,3-dicarboxylic acid (HET acid).

Morphologies and Thermal Variability of Patterned Polymer Films with Poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride) [PDF]

open access: yesPolymers, 2014
Patterned films of poly(styrene-co-maleic anhydride) copolymers were deposited by dip-coating from acetone solutions. A qualitative study of the film morphologies shows the formation of polymer spheres with smaller diameters at higher amounts of maleic anhydride (MA), and long-fibrous features at higher molecular weights.
