At‐Home Early Diagnosis of Mastitis: Calibration‐Free Analysis of Sodium to Potassium Ratio in Breast Milk

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 10, 2 February 2026.
MAMAWEL is introduced as the first calibration‐free potentiometric sensor for at‐home mastitis diagnosis. By measuring the sodium‐to‐potassium ratio in breast milk, the device reliably differentiates between healthy and mastitis‐affected samples with less than 10% error.

Gutmann Donor Theory‐Guided Design of Mononuclear Ionic Cluster for Exceptional N‐Type Thermoelectric Ionogel

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
Super‐stretchable and self‐healing polyacrylate ternary ionogel elastomers are used for flexible i‐TE devices. Based on Gutmann donor theory of doped anion, the work proposes a three‐parameter tuning strategy of flexible polymer‐doped anion‐synergistic cation to achieve the systematic design of ionic thermoelectric materials. Abstract Quasi‐solid‐state,

Tandem Takeoff: Powering Tomorrow with Industrial‐Grade Perovskite/Silicon Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 5, 4 February 2026.
Perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells have recently achieved certified power conversion efficiencies of 34.85%, far exceeding the Shockley‐Queisser limit for single‐junction silicon and standalone perovskite cells. This review highlights the latest advances in the design, integration, and optimization of perovskite top cells for monolithic tandem ...

Experimental methods in chemical engineering: Electrospinning

open access: yesThe Canadian Journal of Chemical Engineering, Volume 104, Issue 2, Page 556-568, February 2026.
Abstract Electrospinning produces micro‐ and nanofibres by forcing a polymeric solution through a fine needle in an electric field that produces a filament that accumulates onto a collector plate. The fibre morphology depends on solution properties, distance between needle and plate, feed rate, and electric field intensity.

Acid‐Promoted ROMP of a Pyridine‐Fused Norbornene Toward Main‐Chain Cationic Polymers

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 227, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
Cationic polymers are valuable materials for applications ranging from biomedicine to ion transport. We report the ROMP of pyrido[2,3‐b]norbornadiene, a pyridine‐fused norbornene monomer, under acidic conditions. Protonation with HCl suppresses deleterious pyridine–Ru coordination, enabling controlled polymerization to afford well‐defined polymers with
