Structure and properties of polyamide-6
Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1985Abstract A rule has been derived for determination of times of heat treatment necessary to attain pre-set degrees of crystallinity. The influence of the degree of crystallinity on the elastic modulus has been determined, using a composite model. The influence of the duration of heat treatment on the rigidity of the material has been established.

Polyamide 6 and polyamide 6/layered silicate nanocomposites were treated by oxygen plasma and the resulting surfaces were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Fourier transform infrared-attenuated total reflection (FTIR-ATR). The surface properties were also analyzed by water contact angle measurements and Taber abrasion test. It

In this study, the rheological, mechanical, and thermal properties of polyamide 6 (PA6) and PA6/glass fiber (GF) composite with repeated extrusions were investigated. The complex viscosity of the PA6 was found to decrease with the increase of repeated extrusion.

Effect of Beta Irradiation on Microhardness of Polyamide 6
Key Engineering Materials, 2013The polymer additional cross-linking influences the surface nano and micro layers in the way comparable to metals during the thermal and chemical-thermal treatments (e.g. surface hardening, cementation). Our research confirms the comparable properties of surface irradiated polyamide 6 (PA6) with high performance polymers.

Abstract Ternary blends of polyarylate (PAr), polyamide-6 (PA-6) and PAr-PA-6 block copolymer were prepared by the dissolution/precipitation method or by melt blending. The compatibilizing effect of PAr-PA-6 block copolymer was observed with scanning electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry.

Composite Polyamide 6/Polypyrrole Conductive Nanofibers
Macromolecular Rapid Communications, 2009AbstractConductive Polyamide 6 (PA‐6) nanofibers were prepared by making a conductive polypyrrole coating obtained by a polymerization of pyrrole molecules directly on the fiber surface. A solution of PA‐6 added with ferric chloride in formic acid has been electrospun and the fibers obtained showed an average diameter of 260 nm with a smooth surface ...

Electrospinning of polyamide-6
Electrostatic spinning or electrospinning is a process by which a high electrical potential is applied to a polymer solution or melt across a finite distance between a nozzle and a collective target to produce ultrafine fibers with diameters in the sub-micrometer down to nanometer range. In this research work, the effects of various solution parametersopenaire +1 more source
