Stabilization of polyamides—I. The efficiency of antioxidants in polyamide 6
Polymer Degradation and Stability, 1996The influence of antioxidants on the thermooxidation of hydrolytically and anionically prepared polymers of 6-hexanelactam was studied. Oxygen consumption was followed during oxidations and the changes in molecular weight and in the content of carboxyl groups were evaluated.

Biocompatibility Evaluation of Polyamide Hemofiltration
The International Journal of Artificial Organs, 1998Introduction Postdilution hemofiltration with a polyamide membrane is a renal replacement technique widely used, but very little information is available regarding the biocompatibility of this treatment. In this paper we report the results of an acute study of the biocompatibility of polyamide hemofiltration.

Formation of spherulites in polyamides. V. “odd‐odd” polyamides
Journal of Polymer Science Part A-2: Polymer Physics, 1971AbstractThe crystallization of a series of “odd‐odd” polyamides has been examined for a variety of fusion conditions and crystallization temperatures. Diverse kinds of spherulites and other crystalline structures have been formed in these nylon polymers by direct crystallization from the melt and by melt‐seeding techniques.

Chemistry and Technology of Polyamides
2012This chapter presents a comprehensive overview of the chemistry, process technology, and thermal and mechanical properties of hydrolytically prepared fully aliphatic and semiaromatic commercial polyamides (PAs). In addition, commercially available block copolyetheramides and the most important PA blends are discussed.

Some 30 years ago, methods were found which permitted the preparation of high molecular weight fully aromatic polyamides. Special solvent systems were required to obtain high molecular weights. For these polyamides to be spun into fibres, the existing spinning techniques had to be adapted to the type of polymer used, but there was no need for the ...
