Understanding zwitterionic ring‐expansion polymerization through mass spectrometry
Abstract Zwitterionic ring‐expansion polymerization (ZREP) is a polymerization method in which a cyclic monomer is converted into a cyclic polymer through a zwitterionic intermediate. In this review, we explored the ZREP of various cyclic polymers and how mass spectrometry assists in identifying the product architectures and understanding their ...

Friction and Wear Characterizations in Electrospun Nanofibrous Scaffolds for Cartilage Engineering
Articular cartilage (AC)‐engineered electrospun scaffolds have experienced a surge in interest in publication in recent years. However, nanofiber frictional properties are poorly explored in the existing literature. We evaluated the effect of countersurface, speed, and hydrophilicity on nanofibers.

Visualizing the selective localization of carbon nanotubes in immiscible polymer blends
The in‐situ visualization of 80/20 Polyvinylidenefloride/Polystyrene system with MWCNT is shown. The evolution of torque during the mixing is shown along with the photographs of the blend at each stage. Abstract This paper examines the migration mechanisms of multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs) in 80/20 polyvinylidenefloride/polystyrene (PVDF/PS) and

Production of biocomposites. Abstract The unsustainability of petroleum resources and the growing issue of plastic pollution necessitate the development of sustainable biocomposites as alternatives to synthetic materials. On this basis, a blend of biosourced poly(lactic acid) (PLA)/poly(butylene succinate) was reinforced with hemp fibers (HF) in ...

Modeling short fiber reinforced polymer matrix composite materials using material designer
Modeling Short Fiber Composites: A Material Designer Approach. Abstract In the present era, the importance of simulations pertaining to production is increasing in terms of cost, human resources, and time. As the majority of existing studies on polymer matrix composites are experimental, the development of a modeling approach for these materials will ...
