Electrospinning Using AC Electric Fields

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
This review covers the state‐of‐the‐art of process of alternating field electrospinning (AFES, a.k.a. AC‐electrospinning). Although tremendous progress is achieved in the development of AC‐electrospinning over the last 10 years, this technique remains uncommon. The synopses of AFES process concepts, parameters, spinneret designs, benefits and obstacles,

Effect of Mechanical Recycling on the Crystallization of PA 11 and PA 11 LDPE Blends

open access: yesMacromolecular Rapid Communications, EarlyView.
The impact of mechanical recycling on the crystallization behavior of polyamide 11 and a post‐consumer PA 11 ‐ LDPE blend is studied over ten cycles. Isothermal analysis shows a lower energy barrier and an increase in the inverse of half‐crystallization time.

Understanding zwitterionic ring‐expansion polymerization through mass spectrometry

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, EarlyView.
Abstract Zwitterionic ring‐expansion polymerization (ZREP) is a polymerization method in which a cyclic monomer is converted into a cyclic polymer through a zwitterionic intermediate. In this review, we explored the ZREP of various cyclic polymers and how mass spectrometry assists in identifying the product architectures and understanding their ...
