Process phenomena and material properties in selective laser sintering of polymers: A review [PDF]
Selective laser sintering (SLS) is a powder bed fusion technology that uses a laser source to melt selected regions of a polymer powder bed based on 3D model data. Components with complex geometry are then obtained using a layer-by-layer strategy.

Polyamides (PAs, nylons) are a ubiquitous class of high‐performance plastics used extensively in a wide range of applications. Their high resistance to many common solvents and tendency to hydrolyze in strong acids or bases creates a major hurdle to low‐emissions material recycling (i.e., resource separation and recovery).

Influence of DMAc on Rheological and Thermal Behaviors of PA12 for Laser Powder Processability
ABSTRACT The study investigated the influence of dimethylacetamide (DMAc) on the rheological behavior of molten polyamide 12 (PA12), its effects on powder morphology, and thermal properties to establish its processability for additive manufacturing. Both the storage modulus (G′) and loss modulus (G″) exhibited nonlinear viscoelastic behavior due to ...

Electrospinning Using AC Electric Fields
This review covers the state‐of‐the‐art of process of alternating field electrospinning (AFES, a.k.a. AC‐electrospinning). Although tremendous progress is achieved in the development of AC‐electrospinning over the last 10 years, this technique remains uncommon. The synopses of AFES process concepts, parameters, spinneret designs, benefits and obstacles,
