Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) is a combined technology of computer and laser to produce complex 3D prototypes directly from CAD modeling. One of the main advantages of employing this technology is that the non-sintered powder can be recycled and reused for another fabrication.

Abstract Thermal and morphology properties of polyamide-12 (PA12)/poly(butylene terephthalate) (PBT) blends with hyperbranched poly(ethyleneimine)-g-polyamide-12 (PEI-g-PA12) as reactive compatibilizer were studied by a combination of Optical Microscopy, DSC and 13C NMR. This compatibilizer was synthesized by simple amidation reactions.

Porosity is an unavoidable problem of products in powder bed fusion-based additive manufacturing. This hinders underwater applications of printed products due to water absorption by capillary force. This study reports the surface treatment of polyamide 12 (PA12) manufactured by selective laser sintering using large pulsed electron beam (LPEB ...

ABSTRACTIn this study, polyamide‐12 (PA12)/brominated isobutylene‐isoprene (BIIR) TPVs with good mechanical properties and low gas permeability were prepared by dynamic vulcanization in a twin‐screw extruder. The effects of three kinds of compatibilizers on the microstructure and properties of BIIR/PA12 TPV were studied.
