Structure of Polyamide 6 in Polypropylene/Polyamide 6 Blend and Dyeing of Blend Fiber.

open access: yesSen'i Gakkaishi, 2002
The state of dispersion of polypropylene/polyamide 6 blends (PP/PA6) was investigated through thermal analysis using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Maleic anhydride grafted PP (MAH-PP) was used as a compatibilizer. When MAH-PP was added to pure PP or pure PA6, peak crystallization temperature of PP in the cooling process of DSC measurement ...

Recent Advances in Laser‐Induced Graphene‐Based Gas Sensors: From Sensing Mechanisms to Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Laser‐induced graphene (LIG) provides a scalable, laser‐direct‐written route to porous graphene architecture with tunable chemistry and defect density. Through heterojunction engineering, catalytic functionalization, and intrinsic self‐heating, LIG achieves highly sensitive and selective detection of NOX, NH3, H2, and humidity, supporting next ...

Biofuels Barrier Properties of Polyamide 6 and High Density Polyethylene

open access: yesOil & Gas Science and Technology, 2015
In this paper, a comparison of the biofuels barrier properties of PolyAmide 6 (PA6) and High Density PolyEthylene (HDPE) is presented. Model fuels were prepared as mixtures of toluene, isooctane and ethanol, the ethanol volume fraction varying between 0%

Double yielding behaviors of polyamide 6 and glass bead filled polyamide 6 composites

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 2005
Double yield points before necking were observed in injection molded specimens of polyamide 6 (PA6) and PA6/glass bead (GB) composites under tensile loading. The results indicated that the unusual phenomenon was in correlation with the tensile velocity, the composition of the composites and the crystallinity of the matrix at different stages in the ...

Bio‐templated Piezoresistive Yarn for High Sensitivity Movement Monitoring Textiles

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a conductive coating by biotemplating silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) onto a Potato virus A (PV) particle network, cross‐linked on co‐polyamide‐starch (CoPA‐SS) coils. The combination of CoPA‐SS's shape memory and PV‐AgNP's piezoresistivity achieved high strain sensitivity and minimal hysteresis.

Single‐Particle Mid‐Infrared Photothermal Imaging Reveals Hidden Heterogeneity in Real‐World Micro‐ and Nanoplastics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mid‐infrared photothermal imaging enables multidimensional profiling of micro‐ and nanoplastics in bottled water. A total of 9.9 × 104 particles L−1 is detected, with 64% in the nanoscale regime. Spectral evolution, including peak narrowing and band shifts, reveals local chain reorganization in polyethylene terephthalate (PET), highlighting intrinsic ...

Molecularly Bridged Heterointerface Engineering: Designing Transparent, Wear‐Resistant, Hard yet Flexible Optoelectronic Protective Film

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A molecular‐bridging heterogeneous interface engineering strategy is introduced to combine a polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS)‐based hard coating with a colorless polyimide (CPI)‐based flexible layer. The robust heterogeneous interface endows the integrated system with the superior properties of both layers and their synergistic ...

Toward Flexible Printed Electronics: A Spider‐Silk‐Inspired, Strong and Tough Thermoplastic Polyamide Elastomer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inspired by spider silk, a bio‐inspired polyamide elastomer with a dynamic physical cross‐linking network is developed. Mimicking the rigid β‐sheet crystals and sacrificial hydrogen bonds of silk, the material achieves an exceptional balance of strength and toughness.
