Boron‐Doped Nano‐Crystalline Coated Carbon Fibers for Phasic Dopamine Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This uniform coating presents a mix of graphitic and diamond‐like carbon to create a mechanically and electrically robust alternative for the electrochemical detection of dopamine. The electrodes in this work possess the equivalent sensitivity to the state‐of‐the‐art FSCV dopamine detecting electrodes, whilst demonstrating an ability to withstand ...

Characterization of Microplastics in Human Gastric Cancer and Control Tissues and Analysis of Associated Genetic Features

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the presence of microplastics in human normal gastric, para‐tumor, and gastric tumor tissue and confirms the association between microplastic exposure and lymph node metastasis in gastric cancer. This study explores the transcriptomic changes induced by microplastic exposure, laying the foundation for further investigation into

Thermal Processing Creates Water‐Stable PEDOT:PSS Films for Bioelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 37, Issue 13, April 2, 2025.
Instead of using chemical cross–linkers, it is shown that PEDOT:PSS thin films for bioelectronics become water‐stable after a simple heat treatment. The heat treatment is compatible with a range of rigid and elastomeric substrates and films are stable in vivo for >20 days.

Development of Polyamide 6/Compound by Recycled Rubber Blends Using Graphitized Polyethylene or Polypropylene with Maleic Anhydride as Compatibilizer Agent

open access: yesJournal of Aerospace Technology and Management, 2013
http://dx.doi.org/10.5028/jatm.v5i2.164 The toughening of polyamide 6 is desirable for many applications and may be obtained by adding a phase to the elastomeric matrix. However, this leads to a loss in its rigidity characteristics.

Water Permeates and Plasticizes Amorphous Carbon Dots: Unraveling the Inner Accessibility of the Nanoparticles by Glass Transition Studies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The water permeability of amorphous carbon dots (CDs) is demonstrated by investigating their plasticization. Novel polyamide‐based and amorphous nanoparticles are synthesized by controlling their inner packing density. Water plasticization is evidenced by the decrease of the CDs glass transition temperature with increasing the hydration degree.

Expandable graphite/polyamide-6 nanocomposites

open access: yesPolymer Degradation and Stability, 2005
Polyamide-6 (PA-6)/graphite nanocomposites were prepared by melt blending, using a variety of graphites, including virgin graphite, expandable graphites and expanded graphite. The resulting nanocomposites were characterized by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, cone calorimetry, and tensile mechanical analysis.
