Aqueous polyaniline (PANI) nanodispersions doped with dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) were synthesized and successfully inkjet-printed using a piezoelectric desktop printer. AbstractAniline hydrochloride was polymerized in water and in 1 M hydrochloric acid by oxidation with ammonium persulfate. The macroscopic precipitation of polyaniline was prevented by the presence of poly(vinyl alcohol). The change of pH occurring during the reaction were recorded. Conducting carbonized polyaniline nanotubes

Conducting nitrogen-containing carbon nanotubes were synthesized by the carbonization of self-assembled polyaniline nanotubes protonated with sulfuric acid. Carbonization was carried out in a nitrogen atmosphere at a heating rate of 10 degrees C min(-1) up to a maximum temperature of 800 degrees C.
