Self-assembly of polyaniline nanowires into polyaniline microspheres
Materials Letters, 2011Abstract High quality microspheres self-assembled from nanowires of polyaniline (PANI) are prepared by a self-assembly process using ammonium peroxydisulfate as oxidant in aqueous solution. The microspheres of about 2.6 μm average diameter are composed of uniform nanowires with 40–60 nm in diameter. The formation process of PANI microsphere indicates

Metallic transport in polyaniline
Nature, 2006Despite nearly three decades of materials development, the transport properties in the 'metallic state' of the so-called conducting polymers are still not typical of conventional metals. The hallmark of metallic resistivity--a monotonic decrease in resistivity with temperature--has not been obtained at temperatures over the full range below room ...

Thin film polyaniline-polyaniline electrochemical cells
Journal of Applied Electrochemistry, 1993Electrodeposited polyaniline (PANT) in the emeraldine oxidation state was used as the electrodes of open rechargeable cells containing 1 m HClO4 as the electrolyte. The cells could be charged at very high hourly rates to 85% of the redox charge in the leucoemeraldine-emeraldine transition of the polymer.

The effect of the polyaniline morphology on the performance of polyaniline supercapacitors
Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry, 2005The polyaniline (PANI) prepared by the pulse galvanostatic method (PGM) or the galvanostatic method on a stainless steel substrate from an aqueous solution of 0.5 mol/l H2SO4 with 0.2 mol/l aniline has been studied as an electroactive material in supercapacitors.

Electrical properties of polyaniline and substituted polyaniline derivatives
Synthetic Metals, 1989Abstract Polyaniline and substituted polyaniline derivatives which the ortho position hydrogen is substituted with CH3, OCH3 and Cl are studied. Both protonic acid doping (i.e. the addition of protons to the polymer chain without changing the number of electrons in the chain) and the acceptor doping (i.e., the number of electrons in the polymer chain

Gas sorptions in polyaniline powders and gas permeations in polyaniline films
International Conference on Science and Technology of Synthetic Metals, 1994Abstract Comparison of gas sorptions by microgravimetry and differential calorimetry on polyaniline (PANi) powders with gas permeation on polyaniline films are described. Polyaniline powders and films were in the following forms: as-synthesized in polyemeraldine base, doped PANi (with 4M HCl), undoped PANi (with 1M ammonia) and redoped PANi (with 10 −

Thin polyaniline and polyaniline/carbon nanocomposite films for gas sensing
Thin Solid Films, 2011Abstract We have studied the gas sensing properties of five polyaniline-based materials—thick and thin PANI films, nanocomposite PANI/MWNT and PANI/SWNT films, and PANI nanogranules embedded in a polyvinylpyrrolidone matrix. The films (except for the latter) were deposited within the induction period of the polymerization process on gold ...

Catalytic reduction of benzoquinone at polyaniline and polyaniline/enzyme films
Electroanalysis, 1993AbstractThe enzyme‐mediator‐conducting polymer model provides a convenient charge transporting immobilization matrix for redox enzymes in potential biosensor constructions. This study considers the charge transport mechanism in the benzoquinone (Q)‐polyaniline (Pani) system.
