Dynamic Covalent Polymeric Foams: En Route to a Sustainable Lightness. [PDF]

open access: yesChemSusChem
Dynamic covalent polymer foams (DCPFs) combine lightweight cellular structures with adaptive polymer networks, enabling self‐healing, reprocessability, and recyclability. By integrating reversible covalent bonds into foam architectures, these materials open new pathways toward sustainable porous polymers within a circular materials economy.

Metal Ion-Catalyzed Low-Temperature Curing of Urushiol-Based Polybenzoxazine

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2022
In this work, urushiol-based polybenzoxazine is cured by the Lewis acid (FeCl3, AlCl3, and CuCl2) at low temperature instead of high thermal curing temperature. The effect of the Lewis acid on structures and properties of the polymers is revealed.

Polybenzoxazine-Based Nanofibers by Electrospinning [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
In this chapter recent progress in the production of polybenzoxazine-based nanofibrous mats by electrospinning is highlighted. The benzoxazine monomers could easily form thermosetting polybenzoxazines by in situ thermally initiated ring-opening polymerization, hence, they are promising materials for both the surface modification of polymeric ...

Thermal Degradation Mechanisms of Polybenzoxazines [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This chapter explains the thermal degradation processes of various Polybenzoxazines and the degradation mechanisms. The structural effects of phenols and amines on the thermal degradation of polybenzoxazines are investigated systematically. The thermal decomposition studies of polybenzoxazines are sometimes difficult because a large number of ...

Form-stable benzoxazine-urethane alloys for thermally reversible light scattering materials

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2019
Thermally reversible light scattering (TRLS) materials based solely on benzoxazine-urethane (BA-a/PU) alloys were successfully fabricated and demonstrated in this work. The alloys displayed the opaque state below 40 °C. The alloys were transformed to the
