Relationship between Structure and Performance of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer
Key Engineering Materials, 2012The structure of the polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PCE) and the relationship between the structure and the performance of PCE were summarized and analyzed. Based on these results achieved so far, the consensus and the unified opinions were presented while the ambiguous and contradictory points were compared and discussed. Furthermore, the different

Compatibility of polycarboxylate superplasticizers with cements
2006Superplasticizers are nowadays often used for ready-mix concrete, but also for other purposes in concrete technology. In most cases, without adding a superplasticizer to concrete, it is not possible to achieve the desired properties of fresh and hardened concrete. Properties of fresh concrete, such as slump, slump loss with time, segregation, bleeding,

Adsorption Behavior of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer on Cement Particles
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013In this paper, the adsorption behavior of polycarboxylate superplasticizer (PC) on cement was examined. Through adsorption of PC, adsorption area of the molecule was calculated, and it is found that PC molecule would maintain curled shape when it was adsorbed on the surface of cement particles.

Synthesis of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer: Influence of Temperature of Polymerization
2020In this study, Polycarboxylate (PC) superplasticizers based on acrylic acid (AA) were synthesized via free-radical copolymerization with an ethylene glycol monomer and characterized. The temperature of polymerization (ranging from 50 °C to 70 °C) appeared to be the key operating factor governing the chemical structure of the superplasticizers.

The Performance of Low Air-Entraining Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer
Advanced Materials Research, 2015A new low air-entraining polycarboxylate superplasticizer (denoted as L-PCE) was synthesized by using oxirane/epoxypropane (denoted as EO/PO) block-polyether as one of monomers. The molecular structure of EO/PO block-polyether monomer was characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (denoted as 1H NMR).

Influence of Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer on Cement Hydration Products
Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014This paper studied the effect of polycarboxylate superplasticizer on cement hydration products through XRD, DTA/TG, ESEM, IR, XPS and adsorption test, and suggested that the new hydration products were not discovered in the adding PC sample; the adding of PC delayed the formation of hydration product of Aft; with the hydration, the PC molecules were ...
