Rhabdias leonae n. sp., a parasite of the lungs of Norops megapholidotus, is described and illustrated. The Mexican taxon differs from the other species in the genus by a combination of characters: possession of 4 lips, corpus slightly inflated, slightly postequatorial vulva, and presence of swollen cuticle of anterior and posterior ends.

Helminths of Anolis acutus (Sauria: Polychrotidae) from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands

Four hundred and fifteen Anolis acutus from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands were examined for helminths. Three nematodes, Ascarops sp. (larvae), Parapharyngodon cubensis, and Spauligodon caymanensis, and 2 acanthocephalans, Centrorhynchus sp. and Oligacanthorhynchus sp. (cystacanths), were found.

Ecology of the South American Lizard Norops chrysolepis (Polychrotidae)

Norops chrysolepis was studied in two tropical forest habitats in Amazon rain forests of Ecuador (Sucumbios Province) and Brazil (Roraima State). Nearly all individuals occurred in leaf litter of terra firme forest, and most were first observed in shaded microhabitats or those receiving filtered sun.
