Effects of high‐speed sintering on the translucency and color of dental zirconia with different shades and yttria contents

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study evaluated the effects of high‐speed sintering on the translucency and color of various yttria‐stabilized zirconia (YSZ) compositions and identified factors influencing these properties to improve clinical predictability. Materials and Methods A total of 144 disc‐shaped specimens fabricated from 3YSZ, 4YSZ, and 5YSZ pucks in ...

Physics‐Informed Fourier Neural Operator for Predicting the Full‐Field Stress and Strain Response of Polycrystalline Microstructures

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 4, December 2026.
ABSTRACT We develop a physics‐informed Fourier Neural Operator (PINO) for the surrogate modeling of full‐field responses in polycrystalline microstructures. Reference stress and strain fields are generated using an FFT‐based full‐field solver under prescribed macroscopic loading. The model maps the crystallographic orientation field q(x)$\bm{q}(\bm{x})$

Seeded‐Growth of ZIF‐8 onto Magnetic Nanoparticles: Smart Nanocarriers with Ultrahigh Drug Loading for AMF‐Triggered Release

open access: yesSmall, Volume 22, Issue 55, 1 October 2026.
We developed core‐shell iron oxide@ZIF‐8 magnetic‐MOF nanohybrids via a seeded growth method for magnetic hyperthermia‐triggered drug delivery. Cubic cores and thinner shells maximized heating. In‐situ doxorubicin encapsulation achieved 98% loading, better than surface encapsulation. Polymer coating improved stability.

Inferring Thermodynamic Histories From In Situ Ice Crystal Imagery via Conditional Diffusion Models

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Machine Learning and Computation, Volume 3, Issue 5, October 2026.
Abstract Ice crystal microphysical properties govern cirrus cloud radiative effects, yet their representation in climate models remains inadequate due to insufficient understanding of how thermodynamic histories control crystal morphology. Observational platforms provide only instantaneous snapshots of cloud properties, precluding direct measurement of

Development of a neutron texture analysis reduction pipeline in Mantid

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 59, Issue 5, Page 1595-1613, October 2026.
An experimental planning and data processing pipeline for spatially resolved neutron texture analysis has been implemented within the Mantid framework. The workflow processes time‐of‐flight neutron diffraction data to generate experimental pole figures, enabling non‐destructive quantitative texture analysis of materials and components with complex ...

Deterministic segmentation of grains in dense Laue microdiffraction datasets

open access: yesJournal of Applied Crystallography, Volume 59, Issue 5, Page 1584-1594, October 2026.
This work introduces a deterministic methodology for segmenting individual grain contributions from complex high‐density Laue microdiffraction datasets by leveraging spatial correlations and clustering of peak appearance maps.Although Laue microdiffraction is an essential non‐destructive technique for probing crystallographic orientation and strain at ...
