Tailor‐Made Protective LixAlSy Layer for Lithium Anodes to Enhance the Stability of Solid‐State Lithium–Sulfur Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
An intentionally added, chemically formed LixAlSy coating stabilizes the lithium–electrolyte interface in solid‐state Li–S batteries. The layer suppresses side reactions, preserves smooth charge transfer, and improves ion transport from the start. This approach offers a practical route to more durable solid‐state batteries and a clearer understanding ...

Two‐Way Shape Memory Polymer Composite Gripper for Adaptive Robotic Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A two‐way shape memory polymer (SMP) composite is developed with intrinsic shape‐changing capability driven solely by temperature, eliminating external actuation loads. Embedding the SMP in a low‐stiffness elastomeric matrix enabled reversible transformations during heating and cooling cycles.

Chemically recyclable polyvinyl chloride-like plastics

open access: yesNature Communications
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) is the world’s third-most widely manufactured thermoplastic, but has the lowest recycling rate. The development of PVC-like plastics that can be depolymerized back to monomer contributes to a circular plastic economy, but has not
