Preparação de argilas organofílicas e desenvolvimento de nanocompósitos de polietileno. Parte 2: comportamento de inflamabilidade Preparation of organophilic clays and development of polyethylene nanocomposites. Part 2: flammability behavior

Growing Sweetcorn in Alaska's Cool Environments [PDF]

open access: yes, 1966
Sweet corn can be grown in Alaska's cool environments by employing clear polyethylene mulch to raise soil temperatures. Rows should be run north and south, spaced about 5 feet apart for 4-foot wide mulch.

Electromagnetic Characteristics of Thin Polyethylene-Carbon-Polyethylene Films

open access: yesRussian Physics Journal, 2015
A method of manufacturing a polyethylene – expanded carbon – polyethylene layered structures which allows thin (down to 90 μm) and flexible sandwiches to be easily made, is suggested. The electromagnetic properties of the manufactured composite materials at frequencies from 1 MHz to 3 GHz, 26–37.5 GHz, and 0.1–1.4 THz are analyzed.

Development and Validation of a One‐Dimensional Finite Difference Simulation Scheme for Polymer Laser Powder Bed Fusion with Application to the Effect of the Inter Layer Time

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The study presents an efficient simulation approach for the polymer laser powder bed fusion process polymers process, validated with polyamide 12, polyamide 6, and polyetherketoneketone. It shows that inter layer time affects part density, with 90s yielding dense parts.
