Improving the Dielectric Properties of Polymers by Incorporating Nano-particles. [PDF]
The paper presents a brief review of the promise of nanotechnology applied to polymeric insulation materials and discusses the electrical properties found. For a variety of nanocomposites, the dielectric behaviour has shown that the interface between the

The effect of a nucleating agent on lamellar growth in melt-crystallizing polyethylene oxide
The effects of a (non co-crystallizing) nucleating agent on secondary nucleation rate and final lamellar thickness in isothermally melt-crystallizing polyethylene oxide are considered.

Shaping Ti3C2 MXene Nanospheres for Precision Near‐Infrared Photothermal Therapy
In this study, we report producing spherical MXenes via fs laser fragmentation of Ti3C2 flakes in liquid medium. The nanoparticles demonstrated pronounced light absorption and high photothermal conversion efficiencies of 68% and 63% under heating with NIR‐I and NIR‐II lasers, respectively.

This study presents a versatile approach to harnessing miscible aqueous domains, enabling liquid‐in‐liquid compartmentalization using a barrier formed in situ rather than bulk immiscibility. The barrier forms upon the complexation of multifunctional nanoparticles and ligands at the contact boundary of aqueous phases.

Counterion Dependent Side‐Chain Relaxation Stiffens a Chemically Doped Thienothiophene Copolymer
Oxidation of a thienothiophene copolymer, p(g3TT‐T2), via different doping strategies and dopant molecules resulted in materials with similar oxidation levels and a high electrical conductivity of ≈100 S cm−1. However, mechanical properties varied significantly, with sub‐glass transition temperatures and elastic moduli spanning from –44°C to –3°C and ...

Study of the desorption of ethylene oxide fixed on various materials during sterilization by a new procedure [PDF]
A continuous sterilization process using ethylene oxide was studied in comparison with a classical method in order to evaluate gas retention as a function of time and temperature on polyethylene, PVC, and rubber ...

Insights into the Nature of Synergistic Effects in Proton-Conducting 4,4−1H,1H-Bitriazole-Poly(ethylene oxide) Composites [PDF]
A nitrogen-containing heterocycle (NCH), 4,4-1H-1H-bi-1,2,3-triazole (bitriazole), capable of mimicking the hydrogen bonding of water in the solid state is synthesized and its ability to conduct protons in the presence of poly(ethylene oxides) under ...
