Geometric Flow Equations for the Number of Space‐Time Dimensions
Abstract In this paper we consider new geometric flow equations, called D‐flow, which describe the variation of space‐time geometries under the change of the number of dimensions. The D‐flow is originating from the non‐trivial dependence of the volume of space‐time manifolds on the number of space‐time dimensions and it is driven by certain curvature ...

Series associated with Polygamma functions [PDF]
We use integral identities to establish a relationship with sums that include polygamma functions, moreover we obtain some closed forms of binomial sums.

A functional inequality for the polygamma functions [PDF]
Let where ψ denotes the logarithmic derivative of Euler's gamma function. We prove that the functional inequalityholds if and only if 0 < r ≤ 1. And, we show that the converse is valid if and only if r < 0 or r ≥ n + 1.

Monotonicity results for the polygamma functions [PDF]
The psi(or digamma) function is defined for all positive real numbers \(x\) as the logarithmic derivative of the gamma function \(\psi(x)=\frac{\Gamma'(x)}{\Gamma(x)}.\) Its derivatives \(\psi^{(n)}(x)\) are called polygamma functions. In the paper under review, the authors investigate monotonicity of the functions \[ x^c| \psi^{(n)}(x+\beta)| , \qquad

Three conjectures on the standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis of the shifted Gompertz distribution, as the shape parameter increases to +∞, are proved. In this regard, the exponential integral function and polygamma functions are used in the proofs.

One-loop gluon amplitudes in AdS
We initiate the study of one-loop gluon amplitudes in AdS space. These amplitudes were recently computed at tree level for a variety of backgrounds of the form AdS d+1 × S 3.

On a Conjecture of Alzer, Berg, and Koumandos
In this paper, we find a solution of an open problem posed by Alzer, Berg, and Koumandos: determine ( α , m ) ∈ R + × N such that the function x α | ψ ( m ) ( x ) | is completely monotonic on ( 0 , ∞ ) , where ψ (

A SOLUTION TO QI’S EIGHTH OPEN PROBLEM ON COMPLETE MONOTONICITY
n this paper, the complete monotonicity of 1/( arctan 𝑥) is proved. This problem was posted by F. Qi and R. P. Agarwal as the eighth open problem of collection of eight open problems.
