ALIGNMENT OF HYPERSPECTRAL IMAGERY AND FULL-WAVEFORM LIDAR DATA FOR VISUALISATION AND CLASSIFICATION PURPOSES [PDF]
The overarching aim of this paper is to enhance the visualisations and classifications of airborne remote sensing data for remote forest surveys. A new open source tool is presented for aligning hyperspectral and full-waveform LiDAR data.

Discrete differential operators on polygonal meshes [PDF]
Geometry processing of surface meshes relies heavily on the discretization of differential operators such as gradient, Laplacian, and covariant derivative. While a variety of discrete operators over triangulated meshes have been developed and used for decades, a similar construction over polygonal meshes remains far less explored despite the prevalence

Progressive refinement rendering of implicit surfaces [PDF]
The visualisation of implicit surfaces can be an inefficient task when such surfaces are complex and highly detailed. Visualising a surface by first converting it to a polygon mesh may lead to an excessive polygon count.

Colour interpolants for polygonal gradient meshes [PDF]
The gradient mesh is a powerful vector graphics primitive capable of representing detailed and scalable images. Borrowing techniques from 3D graphics such as subdivision surfaces and generalised barycentric coordinates, it has been recently extended from its original form supporting only rectangular arrays to (gradient) meshes of arbitrary manifold ...

A STEGENOGRAPHY IN 3D MESH BY REARRANGING THE ORDER OF VERTEX PRESENTATION
This paper proposes a method of data hiding approach on 3D mesh objects in the representation domain by rearranging the order of the vertices based on a secret key string (a list vertex that was previously traversed as highly secret).

A Graphical Framework to Study the Correlation between Geometric Design and Simulation [PDF]
Partial differential equations can be solved on general polygonal and polyhedral meshes, through Polytopal Element Methods (PEMs). Unfortunately, the relation between geometry and analysis is still unknown and subject to ongoing research in order to identify weaker shape-regularity criteria under which PEMs can reliably work.

Approximating uniform triangular meshes in polygons
AbstractWe consider the problem of triangulating a convex polygon using n Steiner points under the following optimality criteria: (1) minimizing the overall edge length ratio; (2) minimizing the maximum edge length; and (3) minimizing the maximum triangle perimeter. We establish a relation of these problems to a certain extreme packing problem.

Freshwater ostracods (Crustacea) and environmental variability of polygon ponds in the tundra of the Indigirka Lowland, north-east Siberia [PDF]
Freshwater ostracods (Crustacea, Ostracoda) are valuable biological indicators. In Arctic environments, their habitat conditions are barely known and the abundance and diversity of ostracods is documented only in scattered records with incomplete ...
