Pol‐NIC: An open database on pollen nutrients, imaging, and contaminants
Pollen is a key component of pollinators' nutrition, yet information on its nutrient composition is largely missing from floral trait datasets. These data paper compiles existing data for 283 plant species and adds new multidimensional analyses of cultivated and wild plants to address major knowledge gaps, along with photos of pollen grain morphology ...

Summer cover crops impact weed biomass and C and N acquisition
Abstract Despite the potential to improve nutrient cycling, weed suppression, and system resilience, mixed‐species cover crops remain underutilized in organic irrigated systems. This study evaluated the influence of cover crop diversity and associated weeds on biomass production (both cover crops and weeds), as well as carbon (C) and nitrogen (N ...

Sulphur Analogues of Homoisoflavonoids as Potential Treatments for Neovascular Eye Diseases
Neovascular eye diseases are characterised by the abnormal growth of often fragile blood vessels in the eye. Treatment focuses on reducing angiogenesis as well as reducing oxidative stress induced inflammation, a key underlying cause. Synthetic sulphur analogues of naturally occurring homoisoflavonoids, synthesised in three steps, have shown promise as

A Scalable and Sustainable Synthesis of Indirubin Frameworks Enabled by Deep Eutectic Solvents
A sustainable protocol for the synthesis of indirubin in a choline chloride/urea deep eutectic solvent at 70°C under air affords the product in 70% yield without chromatography. The method is robust, scalable to pilot scale, and enables late‐stage functionalization, granting access to a wide range of indirubin derivatives. CHEM21 green metrics validate

We assessed interspecific differences in nutrient resorption efficiencies (N, P, K) of assimilative branches in three Calligonum species from the Junggar Desert. The results revealed distinct nutrient resorption strategies and scaling relationships among species, closely linked to both internal nutrient status and environmental factors.
