MODERN SURVEILLANCE RADAR FOR AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL [PDF]
. In this paper, we focus on the approach of increasing RCS, therefore the size of RCS also includes the fact that not all radiated energy will reach the target.

Kneser-Poulsen conjecture for a small number of intersections [PDF]
The Kneser-Poulsen conjecture says that if a finite collection of balls in a d-dimensional Euclidean space is rearranged so that the distance between each pair of centers does not get smaller, then the volume of the union of these balls also does not get

A polyhedral approach to the rural postman problem
[EN] In this paper we study the polyhedron associated with the Rural Postman Problem (RPP). Because the RPP is NP-hard, we cannot expect to find a complete description of the rural postman polyhedron of a general graph, but a partial knowledge of such a description frequently proves to be useful for both theoretical and computational purposes.

The paper disccusses various models for discrete element methods of modelling particle shapes. The multi-sphere method is most frequently used, though a polyhedral approach and a hybrid sphero-polyhedral model can also be introduced.

Application of Bonded-Block Models to Rock Failure Analysis
Discrete element models are being increasingly applied to model rock failure processes. Bonded-particle models, based on circular or spherical particle systems, have been successfully used for two decades.

The matching polytope does not admit fully-polynomial size relaxation schemes
The groundbreaking work of Rothvo{\ss} [arxiv:1311.2369] established that every linear program expressing the matching polytope has an exponential number of inequalities (formally, the matching polytope has exponential extension complexity).

Facile rheological route method for LiFePO4/C cathode material production
LiFePO4/C cathode material is largely used in Li-ion batteries due to its low toxicity, nonhazardous and high stability features. A facile and simple approach is proposed in LiFePO4/C production using low-cost materials.

A recursive algorithm for multivariate risk measures and a set-valued Bellman's principle
A method for calculating multi-portfolio time consistent multivariate risk measures in discrete time is presented. Market models for $d$ assets with transaction costs or illiquidity and possible trading constraints are considered on a finite probability ...
