Separation via polyhedral conic functions

Optimization Methods and Software, 2006
We consider the problem of discriminating between two finite point sets A and B in the n-dimensional space by using a special type of polyhedral function. An effective finite algorithm for finding a separating function based on iterative solutions of linear programming subproblems is suggested.

Max Margin Polyhedral Conic Function Classifier

2016 International Conference on Computational Science and Computational Intelligence (CSCI), 2016
In classification problems, generalization ability has a key role for successful prediction. Well known Support Vector Machine classifier, tries to increase generalization ability via maximizing the margin, which is the distance between two parallel hyperplanes on the closest points.

Arrhythmia Classification via k-Means Based Polyhedral Conic Functions Algorithm

2016 International Conference on Computational Science and Computational Intelligence (CSCI), 2016
Heart disease is one of the important cause of death. In this study, we used ECG data obtained from MIT-BIH database to classify arrhythmias. We select 5 classes, normal beat (N), right bundle branch block (RBBB), left bundle branch block (LBBB), atrial premature contraction (APC) and ventricular premature contraction (VPC).

A Binary Classification Algorithm Based on Polyhedral Conic Functions

2014
Data classification is one of the main techniques of data mining. Different mathematical programming approaches of the data classification were presented in recent years. A technique that uses polyhedral conic functions (PCF) is an effective method for data classification. We present a modified classification algorithm based on PCF functions.
