Photoswitching Conduction in Framework Materials
This mini‐review summarizes recent advances in state‐of‐the‐art proton and electron conduction in framework materials that can be remotely and reversibly switched on and off by light. It discusses the various photoswitching conduction mechanisms and the strategies employed to enhance photoswitched conductivity.

Influence of POSS Type on the Space Environment Durability of Epoxy-POSS Nanocomposites
In order to use polymers at low Earth orbit (LEO) environment, they must be protected against atomic oxygen (AO) erosion. A promising protection strategy is to incorporate polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxane (POSS) molecules into the polymer backbone ...

Smooth and polyhedral approximation in Banach spaces
We show that norms on certain Banach spaces $X$ can be approximated uniformly, and with arbitrary precision, on bounded subsets of $X$ by $C^{\infty}$ smooth norms and polyhedral norms.

Strong proximinality and polyhedral spaces
A closed subspace \(Y\) of a Banach space \(X\) is proximinal if every point of \(X\) has a nearest point in \(Y\). For such subspaces it does not necessarily follow that ``almost'' nearest points behave continuously in the following sense: given \(x \in X\) and \(\delta >0\) there is \(\varepsilon >0\) such that for all \(y_{\varepsilon}\) with \(\|x -

Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

Liquid‐phase transmission electron microscopy enables direct observation of nucleation and growth processes in solution. This review is dedicated to the remembrance of Helmut Cölfen and highlights recent studies on complex materials—oxides, biominerals, organic–inorganic crystals—which were central to his research activity. It summarizes key milestones,
