Metal Sulfides as Potential Materials for Next Generation Lithium Ion Batteries: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) method demonstrates its superiority in fabricating metal sulfide‐based electrodes without inactive materials like organic binders or solvents. The particles are directly deposited and compressed onto the electrode surface, integrating into continuous production.

Fluoride Enhances Alcohol Binding Within a Trigonal‐Prismatic Metal‐Organic Capsule

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Steric hindrance from methyl groups orients rectangular ligands “landscape”‐wise, forming a trigonal prismatic capsule with a large cavity. Endohedral functionalization of this capsule via fluoride binding tunes its guest affinity, enhancing the binding of alcohols over ketones and enabling selective perrhenate encapsulation and release, offering an ...

Isoreticular Synthesis of Mesoporous Metal‐Organic Polyhedra with Permanent Porosity to Gas and Water

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In this work, we report the synthesis of two robust, mesoporous metal‐organic cages or polyhedra (MOCs/MOPs) using an isoreticular expansion approach. Among them, the largest mesoporous MOP captures up to 0.47 gwater·gMOP−1, displaying an S‐shaped water sorption isotherm with a hysteresis loop.
