Highly Efficient Catalysis of Sulfur Reduction Reaction: 3d10‐Based Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Taking Cu and Zn, two typical 3d10 metal elements, as an entry point, this paper reviews the application of Cu‐based materials, Zn‐based materials and their Cu‐Zn‐based materials in accelerating the sulfur reduction reaction of lithium‐sulfur batteries, which can effectively alleviate the three major problems faced by lithium‐sulfur battery cathodes ...

Rapid Charge Extraction via Hole and Electron Transfer Layers on Cu2O Photocathode for Stable and Efficient Photoelectrochemical Water Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A simple strategy is developed to construct a unique “sandwich” structure of FeOOH/Cu2O/ZnO composite photocathode. FeOOH as HTL and ZnO as ETL promote the separation of photon‐generated carriers, reduce reaction energy barrier, and enhance the HER kinetic.

Small Stokes Shift Induced Highly Efficient and Thermally Stable Broadband Near‐Infrared Antimonite Double Perovskite Emitters for Spectroscopy Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Highly efficient and thermally stable NIR photonic materials with emission over 830 nm are designed. A cation site substitution strategy is proposed to regulate the Stokes shift of the NIR emitters. The phosphors exhibit a full visible‐spectrum conversion ability from 400 to 800 nm, showing great promise for NIR spectroscopy applications in solar ...

Unveiling the Corrosion Mechanisms of High‐Entropy RETaO4 Through In Situ Observation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Composition‐property relationships in multi‐component RETaO4 are unveiled. In situ XRD/TEM and EBSD expose dynamic crystallization pathways of the dominant corrosion product (pyrochlore) and reaction‐diffusion corrosion mechanisms. La1/6Nd1/6Sm1/6Eu1/6Gd1/6Dy1/6TaO4 emerges as the optimal composition, combining minimal corrosion layer thickness with ...
