Methylene‐Bridged Calixarene Polyhedra: An Elusive Class of Symmetric Molecular Architectures

open access: yesHelvetica Chimica Acta, EarlyView.
An overview of purely hypothetical methylene‐bridged calixarene polyhedral molecular architectures is presented. In addition to the five previously postulated structures, we propose a calix[5]arene‐based icosidodecahedron as a new member of this class. Computational assessments of stability and strain indicate that methanospherophane is likely the most

Interface Engineering in Solid‐State Sodium Batteries: Advances in Materials Design, Interfacial Strategies, and Multiscale Characterization

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Materials, EarlyView.
Since solid‐state sodium batteries (SSSBs) are a promising solution for advancing sodium‐based energy storage, it is necessary to systematically summarize the development process of SSSBs. It focuses on the role of interface engineering in addressing challenges such as materials design, interfacial strategies, and multiscale characterization.

The Black‐Box of ESG Scores From Rating Agencies: Do They Genuinely Reflect Sustainability Practices, or Are They Disproportionately Shaped by Financial Performance?

open access: yesInternational Journal of Finance &Economics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study examines the environmental, social and governance (ESG) scoring methodologies used by Bloomberg and S&P Global through the lens of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA). It addresses a notable gap in the literature by identifying the underlying factors that shape ESG scores and providing practical insights for companies seeking to ...

Water cluster triggered vitrification in HKUST‐1 MOF crystal under pressure

open access: yesInfoMat, EarlyView.
Water molecules in the pore centre form an oriented pentagonal water cluster via H‐bonding, which exerts a pulling effect on Cu–O(ligand) bond and induces bond cleavage. Meanwhile, the broken fragment flips into an unfavourable arrangement that prevents the rejoining of the bond, which finally causes a continuous porous MOF network in the glassy state.

Alterations in brain metabolites in rats with experimental periodontitis: A metabolomic approach

open access: yesJournal of Periodontology, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Periodontitis (PD) is a chronic inflammatory disease with systemic effects. Emerging evidence suggests a link between periodontal inflammation and neurological changes, but the biochemical mechanisms in key brain regions, such as the hippocampus and amygdala, remain unclear.
