Steinitz theorems for simple orthogonal polyhedra

open access: yesJournal of Computational Geometry, 2014
We define a simple orthogonal polyhedron to be a three-dimensional polyhedron with the topology of a sphere in which three mutually-perpendicular edges meet at each vertex.By analogy to Steinitz's theorem characterizing the graphs of convex polyhedra, we

Metal-Organic Polyhedron Capped with Cucurbit[8]uril Delivers Doxorubicin to Cancer Cells.

open access: yesJournal of the American Chemical Society, 2016
Self-assembly of ligand 1 and Pd(NO3)2 delivers Fujita-type metal-organic polyhedron (MOP) 3 which bears 24 covalently attached methyl viologen units on its external surface, as evidenced by 1H NMR, diffusion-ordered spectroscopy NMR, electrospray mass ...

Disordered Rocksalts as High‐Energy and Earth‐Abundant Li‐Ion Cathodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered rocksalts with lithium excess (DRX) offer a new direction in Li‐ion cathode design beyond conventional Ni‐ and Co‐based materials. This review highlights the design principles, synthesis strategies, and performance optimization of DRX oxides and oxyfluorides for energy‐dense, sustainable batteries using Earth‐abundant transition metals and ...

Faceted polymersomes: a sphere-to-polyhedron shape transformation

open access: yesChemical Science, 2019
We uncover how our polymersomes facet through a sphere-to-polyhedron shape transformation pathway that is driven by perylene aggregation confined within a topologically spherical polymersome shell.

Novel Sulfide‐Chloride Solid‐State Electrolytes with Tunable Anion Ratio for Highly Stable Solid‐State Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A new family of Na‐Zr‐S‐Cl sulfide‐chloride Na SSEs with tailored anion compositions is explored. A high ionic conductivity is realized for both Cl‐rich and Cl‐deficient structures, attributed to the unique chloride bridging structure and low Na‐ion migration barrier.

Optimization of Core–Shell Ternary Electrodes for High‐Performance Ionic Actuator in Soft Gripper

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A core–shell ternary electrode (Opt‐SWCNTs/PEDOT:PSS/IL) is developed via a simple two‐step dispersion and vacuum filtration process, with component ratios optimized to achieve excellent mechanical toughness and electrical conductivity based on simulation results.

An approach for line clipping against a convex polyhedron

open access: yesRuhuna Journal of Science, 2016
Line clipping operation is a bottleneck in most of computer graphics applications. There are situations when millions of line segments need to be clipped against convex polyhedrons with millions of facets.

Capillary‐Driven 3D Open Fluidic Networks for Versatile Continuous Flow Manipulation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The capillary‐driven 3D open fluidic networks (OFNs), composed of connected polyhedral frames, enable precise, programmable, and versatile manipulation of unary, binary, and multiple continuous flows in both spatial and temporal dimensions. OFNs represent a significant leap beyond conventional microfluidics, unlocking new possibilities for selective ...
