Gel Polymer Electrolyte

ECS Transactions, 2014
Gel polymer electrolyte containing immobilized different types of salts (LiPF6, LiBF4, TEABF4) in aprotic solvents (PC, EC:DEC, EC DMC) were prepared by UV polymerization. Electrolytes were optimized to achieve suitable ionic conductivity (up to 7.5 mS/cm) and good mechanical stability.

Terahertz conductivity of polymer electrolytes

Terahertz Photonics III
The polyethylene oxide (PEO)-based polymer electrolytes containing lithium salts pave the way for the development of safe lithium batteries with high energy storage capacity [1,2]. Enabled by the flexibly vibrating polymer matrix, the Li-ion transport occurs via hopping along and between the polymer chains [2,3].

Polymer Electrolytes and Microelectrodes

1991
Polymer electrolytes are ionically conductive, solid solutions of ionic compounds in a polymeric matrix, such as lithium Perchlorate dissolved in linear poly-ethylene oxide, PEO or variants such as the cross-linked “network PEO”. This article describes two recent developments in polymer electrolytes: their use (a) with miniaturized electrodes ...

EXAFS of Polymer Electrolytes

MRS Proceedings, 1988
AbstractThe technique of EXAFS is reviewed and its application, especially to Ca- and Zn-polymer electrolytes, is considered. The implications of the EXAFS results for the interpretation of the electrochemical properties of these electrolytes are discussed.

Polymers and Polymer Composites for Electrolyte Application

2016
Nowadays a large amount of synthetic polymers is used as packaging material, structural materials, as electric insulators [1–5]. The demand for synthetic polymers is rapidly increasing for portable electronic consumer devices. The most popular portable products are notebook computers, cellular and cordless phones, and camcorders.

The history of polymer electrolytes

Solid State Ionics, 1994
Abstract A brief historical survey of the conductive complexes formed between solvating molecules and metal salts is given here. The elucidation of the special conduction mechanism of these materials have been a challenging emulation for the scientific community.

Comb polymer electrolytes

Polymer Bulletin, 1996
Three comb polymers(CP) with oligo-oxyethylene side chains of the type-O(CH2CH2O)nCH3 were prepared from methyl vinyl ether/maleic anhydride alternating copolymer. Homogeneous amorphous polymer electrolytes were made from CP and LiCF3SO3 or LiClO4 by solvent-casting method, and their conductivities were measured as a function of temperature and salt ...

Gel Polymer Electrolytes

2019
An electrolyte is a major component that influences battery performance. The electrolytes for lithium-ion batteries can be mainly divided into liquid electrolyte, gel polymer electrolyte and solid electrolyte. The liquid electrolyte used in commercialized lithium-ion batteries is based on lithium salt dissolved in organic solvents.
