Modeling of photodegradation in solar cell modules of substrate and superstrate design made with ethylene-vinyl acetate as pottant material [PDF]
The rates of hydrogen abstraction by peroxy radicals were proven to be too slow for significant oxidation of the alkane substrate to be important. The numerical procedure, independent of our particular data base was verified by reproducing concentration ...

Modelling of photodegradation in solar cell modules of substrate and superstrate design made with ethylene-vinyl acetate as pottant material [PDF]
A computer model which simulates, in principle, the chemical changes in the photooxidation of hydrocarbons using as input data a set of elementary reactions, corresponding kinetic rate data and appropriate initial conditions was developed.

The Occurrence of Microplastic Ingestion in Commercial Marine Fish in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia
ABSTRACT Microplastics are polymer‐based particle compositions of various toxic chemicals with size less than 5 mm. Due to their small size, microplastics can be ingested and accumulate in body tissues of organisms. This raises concerns about their toxicity being transferred to humans via food consumption.

ABSTRACT Microplastic (MP) pollution represents a growing environmental challenge, especially in tropical and subtropical coastal regions of the Global South, where methodological fragmentation, funding discontinuity, and dependence on external analytical infrastructure limit the production of comparable data and the formulation of evidence‐based ...

Tracking physical impacts is important in many fields. Self‐assembled microparticles made from polydiacetylene and silk fibroin that change color from blue to red when hit can provide an alternative approach to traditional mechanical transducers, quantitatively visualizing impact with responses ranging from <100 to 770 N.

A patient‐specific Fluid–structure Interaction (FSI) model of aortic stenosis was verified against in vitro experiments using a mock‐loop circulatory system with patient‐specific calcified and non‐calcified valve models under varying flow conditions. The in vitro experiments were replicated in the FSI model.

This study demonstrates the innovative development of alumina–zirconia composite scaffolds produced by fused filament fabrication (FFF) and infiltrated with bioglass via the sol–gel method. The combination yielded highly porous three‐dimensional architectures (500 µm–1 mm), suitable for nutrient diffusion, vascularization, and cell colonization.

Schematic overview of the upcycling of industrial LDPE waste via fused deposition modeling (FDM). ABSTRACT This study explores the potential of additive manufacturing (AM) to upcycle industrial waste low‐density polyethylene (LDPE) by investigating the effect of LDPE waste's melt flow index (MFI) on the printability of LDPE/polystyrene (PS) blends via ...
