Macromolecular engineering by atom transfer radical polymerization.
Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2014This Perspective presents recent advances in macromolecular engineering enabled by ATRP. They include the fundamental mechanistic and synthetic features of ATRP with emphasis on various catalytic/initiation systems that use parts-per-million ...

Mechanocatalytic Polymerization and Cross-Linking in a Polymeric Matrix
ACS Macro Letters, 2013A latent olefin metathesis catalyst, bearing two polymeric NHC ligands, was embedded in a semicrystalline polymer matrix containing cyclic olefins. The catalyst was activated by straining the solid material under compression, resulting in polymerization and cross-linking reactions of the monomers in situ.

Radical polymerization of dialkyl muconates (dialkyl 2,4-hexadienoates) was investigated in an isotropic (amorphous) state, that is, solution or bulk polymerization, and in a crystalline state. In the bulk polymerization at 120 °C in the presence of a radical initiator, high molecular weight polymers of more than 105 were obtained in high yields ...

Kinetics of allyl polymerization. The polymerization of triallylcyanurate
Polymer Science U.S.S.R., 1974Abstract A study was made of certain features of the polymerization of triallylcyanurate. It is shown that the order of the reaction with respect to monomer, initiator, and the overall energy of activation are strictly constant values, as in the case of ordinary vinyl polymerization, and depend on initiator and monomer concentration, and consequently

The discovery of the metallic conductivity (σ) of polyethyne1 (hereafter polyacetylene) in 1977 disclosed a new field of research on organic polymers, with the aim of combining the properties of two divergent classes of materials: plastics and metals. The characteristics of this material and its technological applications have stimulated the interest ...

Polymerization initiated with polymeric compounds, II
Die Angewandte Makromolekulare Chemie, 1977AbstractThe polymerization of methyl methacrylate initiated by the copolymers methacrylaldehyde — styrene — divinylbenzene and acrylaldehyde — ethylene dimethacrylate in the absence of usual initiators was investigated. The polymerization was found to proceed fairly readily and fast. Acceleration can be achieved by adding glycerylaldehyde.

Polymere Reagenzien, 5. Polymere Selenreagenzien
