Chemical Reviews, 2001
Various aspects of supramolecular polymer were discussed. The hydrogen bonding enforced by liquid crystallinity and phase separation in the supramolecuar polymers were examined. The supramolecular polymers, based on discotic molecules, such as tryphenylenes, pthalocyanines and porphyrins were also elaborated.

Polymer-Polymer Phase Behavior
Science, 1991Different polymers can be combined into a single material in many ways, which can lead to a wide range of phase behaviors that directly influence the associated physical properties and ultimate applications. Four factors control polymer-polymer phase behavior: choice of monomers, molecular architecture, composition, and molecular size. Current theories

Polymer/Solvent and Polymer/Polymer Interaction Studies
1979Abstract : The technique of gas chromatography has been used to investigate the solution properties of many solvents with a propargyl (acetylene-terminated) sulfone (PATS). In this case, unlike previous work on the RADEL polysulfone, no correlation between the strength of the specific interaction parameter and the solubility as determined from beaker ...

Polymer structure and dynamics, and polymer-polymer interactions
Advances in Colloid and Interface Science, 1996Abstract Special architectures can be constructed from macromolecular building blocks by placing functional groups at well defined positions on the polymeric object. These functional groups can be linked together either by chemical reaction or by non-covalent bonds. Often, however, the position of the functional groups is not sufficiently well known,

Polymer-Polymer Interdiffusion
MRS Proceedings, 1984AbstractInterdiffusion of polymer chains plays an important role in establishing good adhesion at polymer interfaces as well as in the kinetics of phase separation and mixing in polymer blends. Reptation, a process in which a given linear chain crawls along a primitive path defined by the topological constraints due to the surrounding chains, is ...

Polymer-Polymer Interdiffusion
Europhysics Letters (EPL), 1986We correct an earlier theory of polymer diffusion for a mixture of long (L) and short (S) chains in a melt, all chains being chemically identical. The mixing can be understood by analogy with the kinetics of polymer dissolution: up to a time τL (the reptation time of the L component) the L chains behave like a gel, progressively swollen by the S chains.

Polymers and Polymer Solutions
1991Abstract The observation of polymers and the work devoted to their synthesis goes back to the beginning of the nineteenth century. However, the definitions given to them varied until 1920. Flory has shown that the many incidents which occurred during the formation of the basic notions are of great interest even now, and a few notable ...
